Your folio is an important part of designing and making your product. It is not only there to support you with this process, but also to document it.Your folio should have each stage of the designing process illustrated, a bit like a large diary. They are usually in A2 size, but work in the size and colour of paper that suits you best. Sometimes something simple like working on black paper can help you to be creative. To the right is a list of the sort of pages your folio will contain once it is complete, with links to the design process pages that have further information This is in no way exhaustive, and some pages may not be relevant or necessary for your project. You should use this as a guide, but take the initiative; if there is something else you want to add in, do it. If there are pages you don't think work for you, or don't seem to fit your project, leave them out. The main questions to ask yourself are; If I were to give my folio to someone else, could they make my product from the information inside? Does the folio document my thought development, explaining and justifying how I got to my final design? Are the working drawings correct in terms of measurements, scale and do they have all the information needed on them? Is my name on it?!
