Specification

The specification is a few lines which explain what you intend to do to solve the problem you have set yourself. For this section you need to refer to your research to justify why and how you have reached the decisions you have. It is similar to the synthesis in that you will be listing facts about the product, but there will be more details and specific information.

For instance;

The budget for the project is £15.00, however costs should come in at £11.00

I am going to use wood and acrylic as my research has shown that this combination will improve my design.

Using this combination of materials, the product will take nine hours to manufacture.

My research has shown that yellow and orange will be a more suitable colour range, as this complements the colour scheme in my room.

The tools I will need for this project are; bandsaw, files, coping saw, vacuum former, and so on..
