Although this is often describe as the design process, it is not in fact one linear process that you follow to reach design success. There is not set way to design, you have to find what suits you. Each person will find thier own methods that work for them. There are however techniques and skills you can learn to help you.To the right is a list of tasks, which you can use as a guideline to help you in finding and developing ideas through to a final product. It is a series of stages in the process of design, but it is there purely for guidance-you do not have to do it all, and you do not have to do it in the order it is here. If there are other ways you have found to generate or develop ideas use them, there is no right or wrong way. Whatever works for you, use, however, this list may help you to develop your own methods and give you some ideas as to how to go about designing your product.
